I'm thankful for the opportunity to bring back, and sponsor a revived community tradition: The Leyden Rock Turkey Trot!
The idea for this year's event started with how to help raise awareness to a local non-profit organization that I cherish, The Hope House Colorado and help them kick off their holiday Christmas Toy Drive.
Early morning frost didn't hinder the excitement of over100 attendees for this year's race. By 9:15 it was sun & blue skies, and the runners were off to tackle this challenging 5K course.
Here are the results for the men's & women's top finishers:
Place | Men's | Women's |
1st | Bryce Fluker 20:56 | Brie Jones 25.51 |
2nd | Greg Opgenorth 23:25 | Ella Graves 27:23 |
3rd | Lucian Wilson 23:32 | Ashley Graves 27:48 |
